2026 marks the 20th Anniversary of THE U.S. vs. JOHN LENNON which was an official selection of the Venice, Telluride, London and Toronto International film festivals and was released theatrically worldwide by Lionsgate.

Born out of his love for the music of the Beatles and a keen interest in freedom of speech and personal courage in the face of significant obstacles, Scheinfeld earned the trust of Yoko Ono and was given access to her extensive archive.

Peter Travers, Rolling Stone said “Lennon’s spirit, like his music, shines through this movie like a beacon. Powerful stuff” and Adam Cohen of The New York Times wrote, “It is the story of not only one man being harassed, but of a democracy being undermined.”
