The Mexico-US Security Agenda: A Binational Perspective | Session 3: The Migration Conundrum: Stemming or Legalizing the Tide?

Your ticket is a donation to La Biblioteca, get it here.

Each session, while independent, forms part of a broader cycle exploring the most significant political and social shifts in contemporary Mexican life.

Carlos Navarro has a binational professional background: he worked as a political and media analyst for the CIA’s Open Source Center, producing analysis on Mexican affairs for policymakers, and later served as Head of Strategic Analysis in the Office of the President of Mexico, where he developed public policy recommendations.

Session 3: The Migration Conundrum: Stemming or Legalizing the Tide?

Focuses on migration, a complex and polarizing issue intensified under a second Trump administration.

The discussion considers whether Mexico functions as a refuge or a barrier for migrants and examines where US and Mexican migration policies converge or conflict.
