Pita es un veterano de guerra que, al querer integrarse a la sociedad, decide trabajar en una oficina, pero no resulta ser lo que esperaba. Aprovecha cada pausa para evadirse de la realidad y volver a sus sueños de niño.
Desde pequeño le había gustado viajar por el mundo y tocar el piano. Pero en sus años de juventud, una llamada le cambió la vida y decidió irse.
Sheridan Bowes – Actor
Nació en Inglaterra, de padres jamaiquinos. A los 16 años se mudó a los Estados Unidos para pertenecer durante 20 años a las fuerzas armadas de ese país. Se convirtió en bailarín de ritmos latinos y actualmente tiene más de 20 años de trayectoria, ha participado en congresos de baile en distintos países y también ha ganado concursos en México y Estados Unidos.
Llegó a México en 2024 formando parte del programa de los veteranos G.I. Bill para estudiar español en el Instituto Allende y en 2025 empezó a tomar clases de teatro para mejorar su español. Actualmente también es maestro de inglés.
María Elena Barrientos – Directora
Nació en Morelia, Michoacán; desde 2017 radica en San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. Es maestrante del Centro de Investigación y Documentación Teatral Rodolfo Usigli (CITRU- INBAL) en la línea de teatro, cultura y educación. Es licenciada en teatro por la Facultad Popular de Bellas Artes (UMSNH).
Ha impartido talleres de teatro y fomento a la lectura para la infancia, adolescencia y juventud en estados como Michoacán, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Guerrero y Quintana Roo. Actualmente es docente en la licenciatura en artes visuales del Instituto Allende, impartiendo las materias de expresión corporal y comunicación oral y escrita; además, imparte clases de teatro aplicado como herramienta para la enseñanza del idioma español a extranjeros.

Ever since he was a child, he had loved traveling the world and playing the piano. But in his youth, a phone call changed his life, and he decided to leave.
Sheridan Bowes – Actor
He was born in England to Jamaican parents. At age 16, he moved to the United States, where he served in the U.S. military for 20 years. He became a Latin dancer and now has more than 20 years of experience; he has participated in dance conventions in various countries and has also won competitions in Mexico and the United States.
He arrived in Mexico in 2024 as part of the G.I. Bill veterans’ program to study Spanish at the Instituto Allende, and in 2025 he began taking theater classes to improve his Spanish. He is currently also an English teacher.
María Elena Barrientos – Directora
She was born in Morelia, Michoacán; since 2017, she has lived in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. She is a master’s student at the Rodolfo Usigli Center for Theater Research and Documentation (CITRU-INBAL), specializing in theater, culture, and education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from the Popular Faculty of Fine Arts (UMSNH).
She has led theater and reading promotion workshops for children, adolescents, and young adults in states such as Michoacán, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Guerrero, and Quintana Roo. She currently teaches in the visual arts bachelor’s program at Instituto Allende, where she instructs courses in physical expression and oral and written communication; she also teaches classes on applied theater as a tool for teaching Spanish to foreign students.
