The Fourth Transformation of México: A New Regime for the 21st Century

Session 1: Andrés Manuel López Obrador: Idealist or Strongman?

Tired of waiting for the ruling PRI to democratize, change its ways, and give him a political opportunity, López Obrador decided to walk away and create his own political movement.

In this first session, Carlos Navarro will explain how López Obrador succeeded in challenging the status quo and bringing in a new regime for Mexico, using a popular message, unfailing persistence, and an unmatched political instinct.
