In this experience, the Eco Niños went out to explore their surroundings and discover Allende Reservoir, an important body of water in their region.

As they walked from the school to the site, they observed the landscape, local birds, and the connection between water, people, and nature.

They also learned about water hyacinth, understanding that it can help retain moisture but that, when it grows excessively, it can affect the balance of the ecosystem.

During the visit, they observed birds using binoculars and telescopes, conducted a water pH test, collected litter along the way, and transported water hyacinth to use around the trees at their school.

Through this experience, they learned that ecosystems depend on balance and that our actions influence their care. They also recognized the importance of knowing, appreciating, and protecting the places we call home.
