In this session, we discovered that every seed holds the promise of a future plant.

Using seeds found in everyday foods such as papaya, melon, corn, beans, and chickpeas, the Eco Niños learned where seeds come from, how they are dispersed in nature, and why it is important to protect them.

They discovered that seeds not only provide us with food but can also grow into new plants and serve as a source of food for other living creatures, including birds.

The children observed the seeds’ different shapes and characteristics before planting them in recycled PET bottles and in the school garden. They nurtured their seedlings with water, a natural rooting solution, and ongoing care as they watched them grow.

In doing so, they became Seed Guardians, learning that by caring for seeds, we become part of the cycle of life.

Every seed we find is an opportunity to plant, nurture, and help life continue to grow.
